Gabbi Garcia, Khalil Ramos experience Jay Fai, a Michelin-starred street food resto in Bangkok

The front-seat foodies are back with their grub adventures!

On Instagram, Gabbi Garcia shared her Jay Fai experience with Khalil Ramos, where they had to wake up pretty early to line up for a table.

“Woke up at 6 am, fell in line for an hour and a half, then finally got a slot for the first seating!” Gabbi wrote.

She described the overall experience as “fun and exciting, especially [Khalil] and I share the same love for food and culture.”

As for the food, the long-time Kapuso couple tried Jay Fai’s celebrated Crab Omelette, Seafood Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodles.

In the comment section, netizens commended the couple for their dedication to trying the Michelin-starred restaurant, which was featured on a Netflix series “Street Food Asia” in 2019.

“Grabe yun dedication na bumangon ng maaga! Ang saya!” one netizen commented.

Meanwhile, the Philippines’ Cebu was also featured in the same Asian street food series, highlighting eel dish, fried vegetable lumpia, and lechon as Filipino street foods.

This particular episode sparked conversations online, with some Filipinos, including critically acclaimed director Erik Matti, saying that the series lacked better research on Filipino cuisine and culture.
