Alden Richards on spending his birthday abroad with family: 'First time ko na-experience na hindi ma-homesick'

Alden Richards considers his recent birthday celebration the best one yet because he spent it together with his entire family for the first time.

In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Thursday, the Asia's Multimedia Star said that even though he was abroad, he did not feel any homesickness.

"First time ko na-experience na hindi ma-homesick. Parang sabi ko, 'Parang bitin ah.' Parang first two weeks na 'yun. To think, first three days pa lang whenever I'm out of the country without family, gusto ko nang umuwi," Alden said.

He continued, "So, ganoon pala. 'Yun talaga 'yung sinasabi mo na kung nasaan ang pamilya mo nandun ang home."

Alden and his family spent the recent January 2 with a simple birthday salo-salo.

"Most of my birthdays lately kasi, away from them eh. Hindi ko sila kasama lahat, you know, my dad and two siblings and two sisters. But ito 'yung first birthday ko talaga na nag-birthday ako, pati kuya ko, kumpleto kami," he said.

Alden recently starred in with Julia Montes in "Five Breakups and a Romance," a certified blockbuster film directed by Irene Villamor. He also starred in Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Family of Two" with Sharon Cuneta.

He is also set to star in the upcoming historical series, "Pulang Araw," with Sanya Lopez, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco.
