Pokwang tells daughter Malia on her birthday: ‘Walang hindi kayang gawin si mama para sa inyo ni ate’
Pokwang once again just proved she is the most loving mom.
On her youngest daughter Malia’s 6th birthday, the Kapuso actress and comedienne penned the sweetest greeting for her “little Tisay.”
Posting an Instagram slideshow of Malia from her growing baby bump to their travels today, Pokwang declared her love for Malia.
“Walang hindi kayang gawin si mama para sa inyo ni ate,” she said. “Lahat ng dapat suungin susuungin ko, lahat ng dapat iluha at dapat iinda sasaluhin ko, maging maayos at komportable lang ang dadaanan mo sa buhay patungo sa mga pangarap nyo.”
[There is nothing mama can't do for you and your older sister. Everything that needs to be set on fire, i will set on fire. Everything that needs to be endured, I will endure so you can be comfortable in life and in reaching for your dreams.]
Pokwang’s birthday wish for Malia is for her to grow up strong, kind, and most of all, god-fearing.
“Nandito lang si mama, go go go anak,” Pokwang added.
“Paglaki mo saan ka man magtungo, saan ka man dalhin ng pangarap mo, isang lingon mo lang nandon ako lagi 'nak nakaalalay sayo,” she said.
[I am here for you. Wherever you go, wherever your dreams take you, I'll be there to assist and help you.]
Malia is Pokwang’s daughter with ex-partner Lee O’Brian. The actress has another daughter named Ria Mae from a previous relationship.
In 2022, Pokwang confirmed she and Lee split amicably in the previous year. In a 2023 "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" interview however, she revealed it was a bad breakup and later on filed a deportation case against him.
Among the actress’ complaints against Lee were financial abuse, intimidation, and abandonment of Malia. Pokwang won the case in December.
Pokwang is currently guest starring on “Abot Kamay na Pangarap” as herself, and is a main host on the variety show “TiktoClock.”
