Janno Gibbs plans to scatter some of Ronaldo Valdez's ashes in Baguio

Janno Gibbs revealed his plans for the cremains of his late father Ronaldo Valdez.

In a report from PEP.ph, Janno said that the urn of his father are still with his sister Melissa and they are planning to hold a mass on his 40th day.

"Mass 'yan, kami lang, family," the 54-year-old actor said.

He also shared that he is personally planning to scatter some of Ronaldo's ashes in Baguio City, because it was his dad's favorite place.

"Gusto niyang tumira dun. 'Yun ang pangarap niya. Pangarap niyang tumira. 'Gusto ko talaga, sa Baguio na lang ako. Uuwi na lang ako pag may trabaho,' ganun. So, balak kong magkalat ng konti dun," he said.

The singer-actor also revealed that his father left a note before he died, saying that he didn't want a viewing at his wake.

"Nag-post siya sa Facebook, e, ng parang goodbye, ganun-ganun. 'No viewing,' ganun," he said.

He added that their family didn't know about it at first, as they don't check Ronaldo's Facebook all the time.

"I took it down. Nung nakuha ko 'yung phone niya, binaba ko na. Kasi, hindi maganda tingnan, e. Di ba? Pero nasulat niya dun na 'no viewing.' So, ni-respeto ko 'yun," Janno said.

The family held a wake over Valdez's cremains for two nights at the Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium in Makati City. It was attended only by those who asked their family personally.

"Ang mga pinapunta lang namin, 'yung mga nagtanong, 'Puwede ba kaming pumunta?' 'Sige.' Pero hindi na namin in-announce na you can visit, ganun. 'Yung mga nagtanong na lang, 'Puwede ba kaming pumunta?' 'OK,'" he said.

Ronaldo is one of the country's most acclaimed and popular TV and film actors. He passed away on December 17 at the age of 76.

In a media conference on Monday, Janno and his family sought a public apology from the police over the leaked video showing Ronaldo's body.

The Quezon City Police Department has since apologized publicly and personally to the Gibbs family for what happened.

At least five QCPD personnel have been relieved from their posts following the video leak.
