Carmina Villarroel tears up as she tells twins: ‘Hindi kami ang kontrabida ng buhay niyo'

Carmina Villarroel turned emotional when she gave her kids Mavy and Cassy Legaspi a special message on “Sarap, ‘Di Ba?”

In a tearful monologue, Carmina said that she and husband Zoren Legaspi are just happy "that you’re back.”

The actress added that she has “been quiet for the past how many years.”

“Hindi ko alam bat sinasabi nilang bat nangingialam ako, but I don’t care because I am your mother,” Carmina said.

“Kung nangialam ako, hindi mangyayari ‘to. So it only means hindi ako nakialam,” she added.

She then told the twins that she would always defend them.

“I want you to know, the two of you, that I will do everything and anything para sa inyong dalawa.”

She emphasized that she and Zoren will always be there for the twins and that they love them.

“We always want what’s best for you guys. Hindi kami mga kontrabida ng buhay niyo, kakampi niyo kami,” she said.

“So ‘yung pinagdaanan natin last year, I’m thankful na pinagdaanan natin ‘yun because nakita ko 'yung strength ng bawat isa,” she added. “’Yung isa, gustong mag give up, [pero] we’re drawing strength from each other.”

Carmina said that whenever their families get bashed or hurt, they remain quiet “kasi hindi naman po kami pala-away. Ayaw namin ‘yun. Gusto lang namin ng peace and love sa lahat.”

She also wishes for her kids to have inner peace and inner joy.

Cassy and Mavy turned 23 on January 6 and received special greetings from their friends in the industry, including Darren Espanto.

Before this message, Carmina also reminded them, "people can destroy your image, damage your personality, create rumors about you but they can never take away your good deeds.”

Zoren similarly told his kids to keep a strong faith and to have genuine friends.

The Legaspi family currently have their own projects. Carmina stars in "Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap,” Zoren is part of "Black Rider,” and the twins are hosts of the GMA Network noontime show, “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
