LJ Reyes describes 2023 as a 'fulfillment of God's promises'
LJ Reyes considers her 2023 as a new life and a fulfillment of God’s promises.
On Instagram, the former Kapuso star reflected on how the past year went by.
“2023 was the year God began to fulfill His promises and I truly cannot wait for what else is in store for me and our family!” LJ began as she shared a reel of her compiled moments with her family on Instagram.
“I just want to share my gratitude for what God has done in my life. During the holiday I looked back to the year that was through the photos on my phone. Tried so hard to fit all of the memorable photos and videos into a reel but it just wouldn’t fit! IG just keeps on freezing on me!” she added.
LJ shared that “God has promised her to bring her to His promise land which she considers as a spiritual one. She said that she is still that “spiritual” journey because God continues to write her story.
She also acknowledged that life is “a beautiful gift from God,” and that “the only way to enjoy it is to enjoy it with Him.”
“The road is not easy nor perfect but His faithfulness reigns over our past, our apprehensions, our mistakes, our mistrust, our doubts, and everything else. God creates beauty from ashes, turns the ugly parts of your life into your testimony to tell His story— of love and redemption,” the 36-year-old actress said.
She then shared a Bible verse from Isaiah 43:19 ESV that tells “God would do a new thing” in our lives, and a verse from that John 15:7 ESV reminds people to live in accordance with His word.
Ending her post, LJ said that God has blessed her with more than what she prayed for but also a new life that is better than what she imagined.
LJ married Filipino businessman Philip Evangelista in October at The Beavin House in East Hampton, New York.
They got engaged in May, a little less than two years since LJ relocated to New York after her breakup with actor Paolo Contis.
LJ celebrated her first Christmas with Philip and their kids last year which she called a “blessing.”
