Capinpin Brothers give their mom 3 new houses in Cabanatuan City

Capinpin Brothers give their mom 3 new houses in Cabanatuan City

Brothers and content creators Gavin, Allen, and Kelzy Capinpin surprised their mother with not just one or two, but three new houses in Cabanatuan City as a birthday and Christmas present.

According to a "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" episode, the bungalows stand on a 3,500-square meter land complete with a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a home theater, and a glass house.

"Tatlo 'yung bahay na gusto rin po ni Papa saka ni Mama para kahit magkakahiwalay kaming bahay, magkakalapit pa rin po kami," Gavin said.

["Our parents wanted three houses so that even though we'd live separately, we will still be close to each other."]

Their new swimming pool comes with three falls, which represent the three brothers.

They shared that it took them six months to finalize the surprise after they bought the land in May last year.

Their mother, Beth, said that when they revealed the surprise to her, it didn't immediately sink in and she initially thought it was a prank.

The Capinpin Brothers

The Capinpin Brothers are best known for their prank videos. They admitted that, at first, their videos were planned and scripted.

There was even a time when Beth was hospitalized because of a prank they pulled on her. They immediately took her to the hospital as her blood pressure continued to rise.

They admitted that they regretted what they did and reminded their viewers to be mindful and responsible when doing pranks.

Gavin was the first to do vlogs in the family. He said that he was inspired by another content creator CongTV and that he was the reason why he started doing vlogs.

"Siya po talaga dahil nakita ko po kung paano po siya nagsimula at kung paano po siya ngayon. At lahat po ng ginagawa kong inspirasyon galing po sa nangyari kay CongTV," he said.

["I started vlogging because of CongTV. I was inspired by how we started and how he's doing now.."]

At first, his girlfriend was his vlogging partner, until the pandemic hit. He then thought of vlogging with his siblings.

In their first vlog, all they did was wash dishes, but to their surprise, it went viral and was able to hit 5.2 million video views.

"Nu'ng una talaga mahirap kasi wala sa wisyo namin. Kahit ako, nahihirapan akong mag-vlog. Then, nu'ng try kako natin 'yung ginagawa lang natin na araw-araw." he said.

["At first, we found vlogging difficult because it wasn't in our nature. So we thought of trying to document what we usually do every day."]

Allen said that Gavin would even bribe them just so they would join the vlogs.

The passing of their father

The brothers said that their vlogs were inspired by their father, Pedro, and their younger days. Unfortunately, in 2022, Pedro passed away.

Gavin recalled how they struggled to pay the hospital bills.

"Ang ginawa ko nu'n, nag-resign na ako bilang private teacher at saka ang plano ko nu'n is magbenta ng turon at lumpia kasi doon, makakakita kaagad ako ng pera. Hindi na ako maghihintay ng kinsenas, katapusan, puwede na akong kumita kaagad oramismo," he said.

["I resigned as a private teacher. I was going to sell turon and lumpia. That way, I would immediately have the money. I won't have to wait until payday."]

The brothers were not making an income from their videos during that time, but their father had pushed them to continue vlogging.

Kelzy added that their father was their first supporter.

When their father passed away, Gavin said that he didn't want to vlog about his father's death.

"Pero 'yun po 'yung hiling niya. Binibiro niya ako na, 'Kapag namatay ako, i-vlog mo ko.' Para hindi siya makalimutan. 'Yung binayaran namin sa funeral halos nasa 140,000 to 150,000. Nagulat kami nu'ng kinita ng video na 'yun nasa 150,000," he said.

["He would always tell me, 'When I die, do a vlog about me.' He wanted that so he wouldn't be forgotten. When he died, we paid around 140,000 to 150,000 pesos for his funeral. So we were surprised because the video we did on him earned around that much too."]

From renting to owning three new homes

The Capinpin family lived in a rental home for two decades. Beth said that sometimes, they struggled to pay rent.

They transferred to their own home when Pedro loaned from the bank but it had no doors or windows.

"'Yung bahay namin na 'yun is utang. Hindi pa yata tapos. Five years bago kami nagka-tiles," Gavin said.

["We had to take out a loan so we would have our own house. I don't think it's even paid in full yet. It took us five years before we could afford tiles." ]

Because of those circumstances, when the brothers started making money from vlogging and different brand endorsements, all they had in mind was to give their mom a new home.

Beth's new home

Beth was asleep on her birthday when the brothers brought her to their new place.

They ensured that every detail of the house was customized to their parents' dreams.

"For example, may bilyaran," Gavin said. "Si Papa, mahilig magbilyar. Mayroon ditong tambayan. And makikita n'yo po dito, glasshouse, 'yung tanggapan ng mga bisita para medyo pormal. Meron din po tayo d'yang theatre room kapag manonood. Pinilit namin na malaki 'yung bakuran kasi 'yun 'yung pinakagusto namin na paglabas namin, feeling namin nasa labas kami pero secured kami."

["My dad loved playing billiards, so we had a pool table set up. We had a hangout area made, a glasshouse, and an area for visitors. There's a theater room too. We wanted a spacious backyard, so we could go outside and still feel secure.]

Beth meanwhile couldn't help her tears.

"I'm really proud of my sons. They really gave their all, and made me feel so loved."

["I am proud of them. They made me feel how much they love me as their mother. They really gave their all."]
