Sharon Cuneta reveals separation, reconciliation with Kiko Pangilinan

Sharon Cuneta revealed that she and her husband, Kiko Pangilinan, recently had a brief separation before reconciling.

According to PEP, the couple went live on Instagram with their kids to greet their supporters a Happy New Year.

Sharon said, "Happy New Year everyone. I'm with my family. We're fine and we love you.”

The family also gave a shoutout to KC Concepcion, Sharon’s daughter with ex-husband Gabby Concepcion.

Following this, the Megastar addressed her cryptic Instagram posts from December, which led to speculations that she and Kiko were not on good terms. These include a family photo where Kiko’s face was not seen.

"Every post I made was just to show you when I was sad. And then, of course, like everyone else, that's normal,” the singer and actress tearfully said. "After sadness, we fix some things and then we become happy.”

"I don't know why so many people are so mean. For the record, ain’t nothing wrong with any of our brains," she added. “We're good. We're normal. We just got some emotions because we’re real people."

Kiko then said, "Sabi ko nga, lahat ng pamilya, lahat ng mag-asawa, nangyayari ang tampuhan.”

Sharon revealed that these rumors were true, and that she and the former vice-presidential candidate even split up briefly before getting back together.

"Nag-away kami, naghiwalay kami, tapos nagbati na kami,” she said. "So, okay na kami, okay?”

She then said that the posts were “for people close to me that I think needed those posts.”

"So, you always assume,” she added.

In late December, Sharon posted an appreciation post for Kiko, thanking him for being a great dad.

This was not the first time Sharon and Kiko were the subject of breakup rumors. In 2022, the Megastar revealed that they had a lovers’ quarrel which lasted for six months.

The couple celebrated their 27th anniversary in 2023. Sharon and Kiko have three kids together: Frankie, Miel, and Miguel.
