Mike Tan says his daughter cries every time she sees him on TV

Mike Tan said his daughter is not yet ready to watch his shows, because she cries whenever she sees him on television.

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Kapuso actor said he had to explain to his daughter that he was just pretending to be someone else when he was acting.

"'Yung panganay ko, every time na nakikita niya ako sa TV, umiiyak siya," Mike said.

"Siguro nakikita niya kasi ako may kasamang ibang babae, or minsan nakikita niya ako malungkot, galit, o umiiyak dun sa scene, kaya ayaw niya," he added.

Mike said it's challenging for him and his wife to explain his work to their kids.

"Medyo mahirap himayin, lalo na kung bata kasi kailangan mo talaga siya himayin na maiintindihan nila kung ano 'yung sinasabi mo," he said.

"I think na-co-connect namin 'yun kasi alam nila 'yung pretend play eh, so ang lagi ko sinasabi is 'Dad is just acting, it's like I'm just pretending to be someone else,'" he added.

Mike is set to star in upcoming GMA Telebabad series, "Love. Die. Repeat," with Jennylyn Mercado and Xian Lim.

The series began taping in 2021 but had to be postponed when Jennylyn found out she was pregnant with Baby Dylan. Taping resumed earlier this year.

The series also stars Valeen Montenegro, Ina Feleo, Malou De Guzman, and Nonie Buencamino, among others.
