Cassy Legaspi on how she protects her twin Mavy: ‘I let him do whatever he wants to’
As twins, Cassy Legaspi said she and her brother, Mavy, often share their opinions with each other, but when it comes to the final decision-making, they let each other be.
On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the “Eat Bulaga” host said they do talk about different areas of their lives, including work and love life.
“We just share our opinions on siguro, kunwari, in terms of work or friends or, you know, love life, we just share our opinions or what we think about it,” she said.
Cassy continued, “But at the end of the day, it’s up to us on what we want to do.”
She then admitted that Mavy is an overprotective brother.
“He always says na ‘chill,’ kasi for me, he’s like my kuya, so he always says he’s the ‘chill kuya’ pero alam ko na overprotective siya,” she said, adding that she knows Mavy just wants her to be safe.
Cassy shared that his way of protecting her is observed “more on actions” and often says things are okay but will still constantly check up on her, making sure she’s doing okay.
The Sparkle star said that she’s also protective of her brother.
“I think I’m more vocal on being protective of my brother, but again, I let him do what he wants, whatever he wants to,” she said.
“Yeah, I let him be because we need to learn through our own experiences. We can’t always be there to protect each other,” Cassy added.
Aside from Cassy and Mavy being protective siblings to each other, their parents, Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi, also have their backs.
Last month, the twins received some reminders from them about friends and rumors.
In his message, Zoren told the kids to keep smiling and that “[It's] good to have GENUINE FRIENDS,” while Carmina said that "people can destroy your image, damage your personality, create rumors about you but they can never take away your good deeds.”
“Because no matter how they describe you, you will always be admired by those who know you best," she added.
Cassy among the cast members of the MMFF entry “When I Met You in Tokyo,” along with Darren Espanto, Vilma Santos, and Christopher de Leon.
