Faith Da Silva, brother Silas reunite with father Dennis in prison
Christmas came early for Faith Da Silva and her brother Silas!
On Instagram, the Kapuso actress shared a photo of her and her brother's reunion with their father, the former actor Dennis Da Silva, who is currently in jail.
“Thank you God for this heart-warming gift this Christmas,” Faith said in the caption, followed by a praying emoji.
In her post, she thanked Kim Atienza and Police General Gregorio Catapang "for making" her reunion with her father happen.
In a video post from Sparkle Artist Center, Faith was seen emotional as she hugged her father tightly during their reunion.
According to a separate post by Sparkle, Faith and her father "were finally able to embrace each other for the first time when Faith visited him at the Muntinlupa City Jail."
Previously on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Faith admitted she used to be ashamed that her father is in prison.
"Kinahiya ko lang naman noon dahil hindi ko naiintidihan ko ano 'yung mga nagyayari," she said.
[I was ashamed because I didn't understand what happened.]
"Medyo matagal-tagal na na napatawad ko siya. I've made peace with the fact na you know, 'yung buhay na meron ako ay hindi normal," she added.
[It's been awhile since I've forgiven him. I've made peace with the fact that, you know, my life is not exactly normal.]
Dennis was found guilty of 15 counts of rape in 2020 and was sentenced to life imprisonment. He was also convicted on four counts of child abuse.
Meanwhile, Faith is making a name for herself in showbusiness. She is set to star in the ”Encantadia” reboot “Sang’gre,” alongside Bianca Umali, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda.
