Ruffa Gutierrez mourns death of dog Simba
Ruffa Gutierrez's 6-year-old golden retriever Simba crossed the rainbow bridge on Monday and the actress took to social media to pay tribute to her furry friend.
She shared a compilation of Simba's adorable moments on Instagram, accompanied by the heartfelt soundtrack of the song "See You Again."
Ruffa began by describing Simba as the “friendliest, the most handsome, most energetic fur baby.”
“I never liked big dogs but I changed my mind when I met you 5 years ago because you were such a playful cutie,” she continued.
She recalled Simba’s early days when the pup would run around their house looking for the next shoe or slipper to chew on, and his habit of snuggling and sleeping next to her.
“I will miss your wagging tail & loud barks every time I would come home and give you a treat,” the actress added.
The Miss World 1993 second runner-up said that the “intense grief she felt because of his passing has left him heartbroken” and that she “can’t stop crying.”
Ending her post, the celebrity mom expressed how she will always be grateful for the time she had with Simba, and thanked him for all the precious memories.
“Until we meet again. I love you my biggest fur baby! Sleep tight,” she ended.
In a separate post on Tuesday, Ruffa described Simba’s unconditional love as the “greatest gift of all.”
“We will forever miss you,” she added.
In August, Ruffa earned her Communication degree from the Philippine Women’s University (PWU).
Ruffa also proudly shared that she is now taking up the Master of Arts major in Communication Arts student at PWU.
Aside from being a student and furry mom, the actress is also a loving mom to Lorin and Venice Bektas.
