Venus Raj surprises followers: She's getting married!
Venus Raj is getting married!
On Instagram Sunday, the 2010 Miss Universe 4th-runner-up announced the good news, by posting the pre-nup photos taken in Zambales and writing a lengthy Instagram post.
“There is blessing in waiting,” Venus began.
“For 8 years, God allowed me to be single. Since I have fully surrendered my life to Jesus, I have never entered into a romantic relationship. I asked Him to protect my heart and to keep it until the right man come,” she wrote.
Venus said the “Lord brought her to a beautiful journey of grace, joy, learning, trials, challenges, loneliness and victories.”
She also shared that during her single years, she devoted herself to serving the Lord, serving the communities, and serving her family.
“God is indeed the giver of good gifts, He knows His timeline for my life, and the right time has finally come,” she added.
She went on to describe her partner as a “man of God,” who the Lord has brought to her.
“My prayer is that, together, we will journey towards God’s will in fulfilling His purpose for our union. We pray to glorify and honor Him in our lives. We have a future ahead of us, it will not be perfect, but God is the anchor that will keep secure,” she said.
Ending her post, she wrote an endearing message to the people who haven’t found their life partners yet, saying to “trust the Lord’s process as He knows what’s best for you.”
Following her surprise, fellow beauty queens congratulated her on her beautiful milestone.
“Congrats ate,” Miss Grand International 2020 1st-runner-up Samantha Bernardo wrote.
“Seeing you so happy makes others happy too. Congratulations,” Miss Supranational 2023 1st runner-up Pauline Amleinckx commented.
“The news is finally out!!! Yiheeee. congratulations manay,” Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa said.
Not much is known about Venus' love life as she's truly committed herself to God. In 2021, Venus graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA), in Oxford, England.
She completed her master's degree in community development at the University of the Philippines in 2017 after earning her bachelor's degree in Communication Arts from Bicol University.
