Tessie Tomas on raising a gay son: 'You don't have to question, where did I go wrong?'

Tessie Tomas couldn't be more proud of her gay son, New York-based fashion designer Robin Tomas.

On Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the veteran actress and comedienne proudly said that she accepted her son's sexuality wholeheartedly.

"You accept that your son is gay. You don't have to question, 'Where did I go wrong? Ganito ba? Nagkamali ba ako?' Huwag, just accept," she said.

"Pero [dapat i-affirm mo na] you are gay, but you are brilliant. You are gay, but you are such a good fashion designer," she added. "'Yung gano'n, kaya siya na-boost. Sabi nga nila, I am the wind beneath his wings."

Tessie's son Robin married his partner, John Charles Cocchiarella, in New York in 2013.

In a previous report, Tessie said she wants to be an inspiration to mothers who have gay children.
