Yasser Marta opens up on split with Kate Valdez

Yasser Marta has opened up on his breakup with Kate Valdez.

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Sparkle actor said his lack of time for their relationship is a huge reason for their split.

Aside from working on "Eat Bulaga" and "Lovers/Liars," Yasser also has to take care of his mother.

"Wala akong sinisisi kundi sarili ko," he said.

"Malaking factor din kasi na na-stroke si mama eh," he added. "Noong na-stroke siya, 'yung buong oras ko, kung hindi sa work, sa nanay ko."

Yasser also admitted that he and Kate didn't keep communications after their breakup.

Yasser and Kate previously starred together in "Regal Studio Presents: Holdap 'to, I love you!" and "Regal Studio Presents: Ex Marks the Heart."

Yasser stars with Claudine Barretto, Shaira Diaz, Polo Ravales, Rob Gomez, Lianne Valentin, and more in "Lovers/Liars."

The series airs Mondays to Thursdays on GMA Telebabad at 9:35 p.m. after "Love Before Sunrise."

Meanwhile, Kate will star with Kyline Alcantara, Paul Salas, and Michael Sager in the upcoming adaptation of hit K-drama "Shining Inheritance."
