Gabby Concepcion congratulates daughter KC on the success of her movie 'Asian Persuasion': 'You make me proud!'
Gabby Concepcion is one proud dad to daughter KC Concepcion following the success of her film, “Asian Persuasion.”
On Instagram, Gabby shared photos of himself with KC, along with some throwback pictures and an old snapshot featuring KC's mom, Sharon Cuneta.
Gabby said that he has never had so much fun watching a movie in a long time.
“Honestly, it was entertaining to watch 'ASIAN PERSUASION'. THEY WERE SO FUNNY!” he wrote.
The “Stolen Life” actor shared that he met with the cast members before the movie started.
Gabby commended the film for having a “down to earth” comedy, a good script, and a beautiful soundtrack.
“Great work to the Director! Thanks to the Producers for getting the team together,” he added.
“Congratulations to my daughter, KC, for landing a role in this movie! You make me proud! You can be anyone you want to! You make us all proud,” Gabby said.
He ended his post by thanking the film's actors.
“Thanks for making us laugh and cry at the same time. You are all an inspiration to us, your viewers, your fans,” he wrote.
In April, KC initially announced that she would headline the film. According to Variety, she replaced Toni Gonzaga, who had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts.
KC completed filming in May after spending two months living and working in New York.
In September, “Asian Persuasion” was awarded the Audience Choice Award at the Soho International Film Festival, out of 100 film entries.
