Rob Gomez wishes to bring Shaila Rebortera, daughter Amelia to Japan

Rob Gomez is praying that the spirit of Christmas will bring his family back together.

In an interview with PEP.ph, Rob said he wants to take daughter Amelia and partner Shaila Rebortera to Japan for some quality time away from the showbiz industry.

According to Rob, he has been planning to surprise them with the trip.

"Ang Christmas wish ko ho ay makapag-ibang bansa kasama ang daughter ko at ang nanay ng aking daughter," the actor said during the premiere night of "Shake, Rattle & Roll Extreme" on Friday.

"First time ko hong nasabi 'yun, itong surprise plano ko sana. Makikita niya ho siguro ito. At nais ko lang iklaro, mahal na mahal ko sila pareho. Mahal na mahal ko sila pareho," he added.

Rob and Shaila's relationship hit a rough patch when the actor said he was single in an interview on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

Rob later apologized and introduced his little family to the public through an Instagram post.

The "Magandang Dilag" star is hoping to reconcile with Shaila and reunite with Amelia. He hasn't seen his daughter since August, but he believes that the time will come "very, very soon."

He also said he and Shaila are in communication and that he is involved with the preparations for Amelia's first birthday on December 5."

"I have to be there," he said.

Rob currently stars in "Lovers/Liars" with Claudine Barretto, Polo Ravales, Yasser Marta, Lianne Valentin, and more. The series airs Monday to Thursday on GMA Telebabad at 9:35 p.m. after "Love Before Sunrise."
