Children’s rights awareness highlighted in National Children’s Month celebration

Save the Children National Children's Month

November is National Children’s Month, and to celebrate, Save the Children Philippines launched a weeklong shebang with a theme “Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Right to Life for All."

The festivities aim to put a spotlight on children’s rights awareness, beginning with a cartoon-making workshop last November 18.

Together with their partners, Save the Children Philippines organized the workshop where youth participants learned about about the Positive Parenting Bill, the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Bill, and the Civil Registration Bill.

On Monday, the artworks stemming from the workshop were put on display at the lobby of the House of Representatives.

The following day, the organization will hold the “Walang Manual sa Pagiging Magulang: A Positive Parenting Forum,” and on Wednesday, the fourth Usapang Bata Research Forum will be conducted, hosted by child ambassador Xia Vigor and Miss Supranational 2023 First Runner-up, Pauline Amelinckx.

Save the Children will end the festivities with a bang, launching its Christmas fundraising campaign, which aims to support programs against hunger and malnutrition among children most impacted by inequality and discrimination.
