Kylie Padilla on motherhood: 'I was born to be a mother'

In an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Friday, Kylie Padilla expressed her belief that motherhood is the best thing that ever happened to her, stating, “I was born to be a mother.”

“Ever since I was 17, I wanted to be a mom. I saw my kids before they happened to me, I did,” she added.

Being a mother to her two sons with Aljur Abrenica, Alas and Axl, is a role that Kylie fully embraces.

When asked by Tito Boy about the kind of woman she has become due to her life experiences, Kylie admitted to being different versions of herself – from being the angry woman, the woman who wants revenge, and the woman who wants to disappear.

“Siguro now, I just wanna be the woman na, a good example for my kids. I want them to know how to love a woman because I’m the first woman they’ll ever know eh,” she explained.

[Maybe now, I just want to be the woman who sets a good example for my kids. I want them to learn how to love a woman because I'm the first woman they'll ever know.]

Despite her separation from Aljur, Kylie also wants to assure her kids that she’ll always be there for them. “Nandito ako ngayon and I have two kids with me, I’m the happiest person in the world, sobrang blessed ko kasi andyan sila.”

[I'm here right now, and I have two kids with me. I'm the happiest person in the world; I feel extremely blessed because they're here.]

When Tito Boy asked her what message she would like to convey to her sons 10 years from now, Kylie said, “You’re the light of my life, Alas, Axl.”

“Lahat to ginagawa ko para sa inyo and kung ano man ‘yung challenges natin in our family, just know that we’ll be a family and buo tayo. I’ll always be here for you. Kahit ano pa yan please ako ang takbuhan nyo as in I’m your mother and I’ll always be your mother. I’ll never ever judge you or make you feel like hindi kayo sapat. Mahal na mahal ko kayo and tanggap ko kayo kung sino kayo.”

[I’m doing all of these for you, and whatever challenges we face in our family, just know that we will remain a family. I'll always be here for you. No matter what it is, please come to me because I'm your mother, and I will always be your mother. I will never ever judge you or make you feel like you're not enough. I love you very, very much, and I accept you for who you are.]

Aside from being a devoted mom to Alas and Axl, Kylie is also busy with “Black Rider,” set to premiere on November 6. It stars Primetime Action Hero Ruru Madrid, Yassi Pressman, Matteo Guidicelli, and Katrina Halili, among others.
