'Badjao Girl' Rita Gaviola is engaged

Rita Gaviola, better known as "Badjao Girl," is now engaged!

The former reality TV star and online personality posted a photo on Facebook of her boyfriend’s proposal. Her partner could be seen on one knee, presenting a ring to a shocked Rita.

Rita captioned her post, “This is it” with ring emojis.

In the comments section, she added, “June 03 2025,” with a bride emoji.

She also thanked her supporters for their congratulations and well wishes.

Rita rose to fame when she was spotted on the streets during the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon. She went viral for her beauty and inspiring story.

In August 2022, she announced that she is now a mother.

Last May, Rita graduated from senior high school.
