Kris Bernal has a reminder for soon-to-be moms struggling to love their bodies: 'Life is happening through you'
Kris Bernal got real anew about the challenges of loving oneself and the wonders of motherhood.
The new mom posted clips of her prenatal Pilates workouts and shared that she still looks back on her baby bump photos and videos, “completely in awe of what a woman’s body can do!”
Looking back, Kris said, “I was at my heaviest weight ever and I’ll be honest that there were moments during my pregnancy that I struggled [with] body image!”
But as the months went by, the actress and entrepreneur learned to love her baby bump.
“I couldn’t be more grateful for my body—to grow and carry life—its strength and sacrifice has not gone unnoticed! I can say that it’s the most beautiful I’ve ever felt!” Kris said.
With this, Kris told soon-to-be moms struggling to love their bodies during this season to remind themselves that, “My body is meant to be LIVED THROUGH, not looked at.”
She added, “LIFE is happening through you in [such] a profound way! You’re growing a LIFE! Live through that miraculous, ever-changing body of yours! And, don’t worry, you can always bounce back!”
Kris has always been open about her pregnancy journey, from dealing with hormones to embracing her changing body.
She and businessman Perry Choi tied the knot in 2021, and in March, they joyfully announced their pregnancy.
In April, the couple revealed they were expecting a baby girl, and by August, they introduced their daughter, Hailee Lucca, to the world.
Kris said that although motherhood has been a challenge, she is constantly learning, growing, and adapting.
