Arnold Clavio on Mike Enriquez's birthday: 'Miss kita, ama'

Arnold Clavio marked what would have been Mike Enriquez's 72nd birthday on Friday.

On Instagram, Igan posted a slideshow of photos with the late broadcaster.

He said in his caption, “Miss kita Ama[.]”

“Ngayong puwede nang isigaw sa buong mundo na birthday mo!!!” he added.

Igan also thanked Enriquez for the continued guidance. “Musta ka ba sa itaas? Salamat sa patuloy na paggabay Ama. Kita na kayo ng Daddy ko?”

Previously, Igan said that his relationship with Enriquez was a familial one, treating him as a father figure.

He described Enriquez as a "good listener, hindi judgemental," with a "big heart para sa kapwa — kaya siguro limang ugat ng puso niya ang nagkaroon ng bara."

Enriquez passed away on August 29. The GMA Network pillar entered the broadcasting industry in 1969, then became part of the network in 1995. He served as a journalist for 54 years.

He is best known for being an anchor on "24 Oras" and "Imbestigador" and the DZBB programs "Super Balita sa Umaga" and "Saksi sa Dobol B."

At his wake, GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon gave a eulogy about how much of a good person Mike was. His colleagues in broadcasting also gave touching tributes. Enriquez’s supporters have also made artworks to pay tribute to him.

In September, he was honored by the People Management Association of the Philippines’ Makatao Awards for Media Excellence “his dedication and enduring legacy in advancing public knowledge and his contribution in promoting sound people management in the country through his years of service as a broadcaster[.]”
