Thea Tolentino reveals she's in a relationship with pilot boyfriend

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Kapuso actress dished out details of her relationship after the King of Talk asked if she’s single and she answered in the negative.

According to the 27-year-old Thea, she is in a relationship with a 30-year-old pilot.

She admitted being in different industries has brought out some challenges in their relationship "kasi hindi po nila alam yung environment natin."

“Sa 'tin po kasi, dami nating kaibigan, mapabata or mas nakakatanda satin, iba’t-ibang age nakakasalamuha natin. And minsan, ‘yung mga lakwatsa na sinasabi nila, it’s actually may kasamang work because para s’yang gaining connections.”

The Sparkle star emphasized the importance of networking in her line of job.

“So unti-unti ko pong pinapaalam sa kanya na ganito ‘yung work ko, ‘yung lakwatsa ko, hindi talaga yan lakwatsa. May lakwatsa pero may nakukuha ako,” Thea continued.

Thankfully, there are others in showbiz with the same situation as Thea — like Yasmien Kurdi who is married to a pilot.

In her conversation with Tito Boy, Thea recalled a two-hour phone call with Yasmien, who would tease her, “Naku, Thea, naka-destino sa Cebu! Naku, Thea!” or “Minsan, uuwi na ‘yan, may pamilya na!” 

When asked about the difficulty of having a boyfriend surrounded by beautiful women, and regularly jetting off to various destinations, Thea said that while “may trust naman ako sa boyfriend ko, bawal layover na babae. Bawal yon!"

According to Thea, they are able to maintain trust in their relationship, by "having healthy communication.”

“Communication is key talaga sa lahat,” she said.

Thea recently starred in “Mano po Legacy: The Flower Sisters” as Dahlia and in “Lolong” as Celia.
