New mom Kris Bernal is 'standing, fighting, trying'
It has been more than a month since Kris Bernal gave birth to her first child, Hailee Luca.
On Instagram, the actress shared an update on her postpartum days.
“Most days, I'm a broken mess, makeup-less w/ panda eyes, in nursing bra, and haphazard mum-bun,” Kris wrote in the caption. “Standing, fighting, trying!”
She added that she realized she lost herself in motherhood and that she’s constantly learning, growing, and adapting.
Kris also shared that motherhood pushes her, “willing or not, into growth, evolution, metamorphosis.”
“It's painful and amazing and it just is,” she said.
Kris said that aside from the NBA player, Luka Doncic, her daughter was also named after the song “Hallelujah.”
“It served as both my lullaby for my baby and something I listened to often while pregnant,” she said.
Kris introduced her baby girl through an Instagram Reel in August.
She and her husband, Perry Choi, announced that they were expecting back in April. They recently flew to South Korea for a babymoon.
