Iya Villania shares funny story of how son Leon lost his 2 front teeth
Iya Villania and Drew Arellano's son, Leon, just lost his two front teeth!
In a lengthy Instagram post, Iya narrated the story of how the teeth of their "monkey boy" fell off.
According to Iya, the day before Leon's birthday, he fell onto his front teeth.
"It was horrific to see all the blood but was relieved to see that although his front teeth were wiggly, they were still there and nothing was broken," she said.
They went to the dentist, where Leon had a splint placed on his front teeth to keep them in place while they were healing.
"The upside to this was that after being buck tooth from his thumb sucking, the fall pushed his teeth into proper alignment," Iya wrote with a laughing emoji.
A week later, Leon's brother, Primo, accidentally hit his mouth, making it bleed again. In the same evening, Leon climbed up a shelf while holding onto an organizer that he eventually pulled. He slipped and the organizer bumped into his teeth.
"And then bam... the very thing I feared had happened. Both teeth completely knocked out," Iya said.
"Nakakapanghina!" she added, recalling that she and Drew were speechless.
Iya admitted that she was subconsciously worried about what others would think, such as, "Did his teeth rot? Is he that careless? How did you let that happen?"
"It made me question my own actions as a mother making me face the fact of how concerned I still am about appearance! Of course I'd still love him and think he was cute even without them," she said.
"Seeing him so happy just minutes after his teeth had come out, he made me realize that what was more important was about how he felt about it!" she said.
Drew and Iya tied the knot in 2014. They have four children: Primo, Leon, Alana, and Astro.
The couple recently teased fans about having baby no. 5.
