Bugoy Cariño and EJ Laure are now engaged

Volleyball player EJ Laure and actor Bugoy Cariño are now engaged.

On Instagram Stories, Bugoys's friend Zeus Collins shared a video of the exact moment the former child star proposed to EJ during his birthday celebration.

"Itong babaeng 'to, papakasalan ko. Itong babeng 'to, mamahalin ko hanggang dulo," Bugoy said.

"Kaya maraming salamat sa pagpunta niyo. EJ, mahal na mahal kita. Will you marry me?" he added.

Without any second thoughts, EJ answered, "Yes."

Bugoy and EJ revealed that they have a child during the actor's 18th birthday in 2020.

Shortly after, Bugoy defended himself from bashers criticizing him for having a relationship with an older woman at such a young age, followed by having a kid.

"Hindi n'yo po alam buong story namin. At least ako, kahit bata pa pinanindigan ko lahat ng responsibilidad ko at hindi ko po tinakbuhan," he said.
