Jose Sarasola on ex-GF Maria Ozawa: 'Our breakup was just because of the pandemic'

Jose Sarasola said he's still good friends with her ex-girlfriend Maria Ozawa.

In the recent episode of "Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel," the Kapuso actor said their breakup was a mutual decision.

"We were both having a hard time with a long-distance relationship," he said.

"So, we kind of thought na parang it's the best we go our separate ways, you know, focus muna on our families [and] on our [careers]," he added.

Jose also admitted the pandemic took a toll on their relationship, which made them unable to travel to see each other.

"Our breakup was just because of the pandemic, wala naman third party or wala naman away, wala naman big fight or problem," he said.

Despite their breakup, Jose confirmed they still follow each other on social media.

After four years of being together, Jose confirmed his split from Maria in January 2022.

Jose is set to star in an upcoming GMA series, "Love Before Sunrise," alongside Bea Alonzo and Dennis Trillo.
