Will Yasmien Kurdi allow her daughter to enter showbiz? Actress answers

Yasmien Kurdi said that her daughter, Ayesha Zara, is giving her "hints" that she's also interested in joining the showbiz industry!

In a media conference on Tuesday, Yasmien told GMA News Online that Ayesha is one talented girl.

"When it comes to singing, acting, she loves dancing, and she loves hosting. Actually si Ayesha, kaya nyang mag-[produce] ng sarili niyang hosting show kahit pagsalitain mo 'yan nang ilang oras, kaya niya 'yan," she said.

The proud mom, however, said she told Ayesha that she must finish her studies first before entering showbiz.

"Tingnan natin kapag nakapag-aral siya, OK lang naman sa akin, wala namang problema kung magiging artista din si Ayesha," the actress said.

In May, Ayesha won first place in her school's singing contest for students in grades 5 and 6, and in April, she did a piano recital.

Yasmien announced her marriage to Rey Soldevilla in 2013. Ayesha is their only daughter.

The Sparkle star is set to star in "The Missing Husband" with Rocco Nacino, Sophie Albert, Jak Roberto, Nadine Samonte, Joross Gamboa, Nadine Samonte, Shamaine Buencamino, Michael Flores, Maxine Eigenmann, Cai Cortez, Bryce Eusebio, and Patricia Coma.
