Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo had no yaya for Dylan in her first 5 months

Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo preferred not to hire a nanny for their daughter Dylan in the first few months of her life.

In the latest episode of "Updated With Nelson Canlas," the Kapuso actress said they wanted to have Dylan all to themselves in her early life stages.

"For the first few months, kami lang ni Dennis," she said. "For five months, wala kaming yaya."

"Pero 'di ko 'yun magagawa kung wala si Dennis. Talagang sa gabi papatulugin niya ako, kailangan ko maka-recover sa gabi para sa umaga, ako naman," she added.

Jennylyn said they preferred it this way because they wanted to enjoy Dylan as a baby.

"Parang ngayon lang namin na-enjoy 'yung baby kasi 'yung first ni Dennis, 'di niya masyado nakasama. 'Yung first ko naman si Jazz, ganun din, bumalik ako agad sa work," she said.

"Hindi ko ganun natutukan si Jazz nung baby, [kaya] ngayon namin siya talaga in-experience and in-enjoy [kay Dylan]," she added.

Dennis and Jennylyn got engaged and married in 2021. They welcomed Dylan in 2022.

They each have sons from previous relationships. Jazz is Jennylyn's son with Patrick Garcia, while Calix is Dennis's son with Carlene Aguilar.
