Fil-Am actress Eva Noblezada is Daisy in 'The Great Gatsby' musical

Eva Noblezada is set to take the stage in the upcoming “The Great Gatsby” musical.

The Filipino-American actress is set to portray socialite Daisy Buchanan, Jay Gatsby’s one true love, Paper Mill Playhouse announced on Instagram. She is starring alongside fellow theater veteran Jeremy Jordan, who will play Gatsby.

“ The Great Gatsby ” is set in the 1920s jazz age. It follows the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby, who throws extravagant parties in the hopes to reunite with his former lover, Daisy.

The musical opens at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey on October 12 and will run until November 12.

Eva made her Broadway debut in 2016 as Kim on “ Miss Saigon ,” the role originated by Lea Salonga . She was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical at the 2017 Tony Awards.

She is best known for portraying Eurydice on “Hadestown,” wherein she received another Best Actress Tony nomination .

Eva and Lea starred in the film “ Yellow Rose .” Eva was also part of the Jo Koy film “ Easter Sunday .”
