Jake Ejercito dedicates touching Instagram post to Ellie
Jake Ejercito has a touching Instagram post for his 11-year-old daughter, Ellie.
The actor posted a pair of photos of his little girl during their recent trip to Japan, showing Ellie holding a transparent umbrella under the rain.
Ellie has her back to him in the first photo, and then faces him in the next snap.
"It's the most terrifying day of your life, the day your first one is born. Your life, as you know it, is gone... never to return," Jake wrote in the caption, quoting Bob Harris from the 2003 film "Lost in Translation."
"But they learn how to walk, and they learn how to talk, and you want to be with them— and they turn out to be the most delightful people you will ever meet in your life."
In the comments, fans could not help but feel stirred by the caption, which perfectly captures a parent's feelings for their child.
"Deeply moved by the caption, believing it was meant for her birthday. But I'm even more touched that daddy Jake remembered his precious Ellie at a random moment like this," said one fan.
Jake is co-parenting Ellie with ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann. He has a close relationship with his daughter, often doting on her on social media and sharing how she roasts him via text.
Aside from Japan, he and Ellie also visited Europe and Singapore last year.
On Ellie's 11th birthday last year, Jake sweetly called her "daigdig ko."
