Richard Yap takes daughter Ashley to the GMA Gala as his lovely date

Richard Yap brought a special lady as his date to the GMA Gala Night, and it's none other than his daughter Ashley Sandrine Yap.

The father and daughter duo arrived at the Marriott Grand Ballroom’s red carpet both in glamorous pieces by Neric Beltran.

Ashley is a stunner in a sparkling silver beaded gown, and Richard wore a white coat, a bowtie, and black trousers.

In an interview with red carpet hosts Martin Javier and Janeena Chan, the “Unbreak My Heart” actor said that this was a surprise look.

“I didn't know what was going to come out. Basta finit lang ako, and then nung nag-fitting ulit, 'yun ang lumabas,” Richard said.

For Ashley’s gown, Neric was also the one who thought of what she should wear. “He looked through my Instagram, he said he saw na parang I just wear like super classic outfits, so he wanted to do something na like, elegant and simple,” the content creator said.

Richard said that he is also looking forward to seeing and having fun with his fellow Kapuso artists tonight.

Before heading to the ballroom, Ashley was asked whether it would be awkward to be partying with her dad.

“No, he’s a cool dad,” she said.
