Kris Aquino on breakup with Mark Leviste: 'We just weren't meant for each other'
Kris Aquino revealed the real reasons behind her breakup with Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste.
In a previous Instagram post, the Queen of All Media announced that they were taking “a pause” due to her health conditions. However, in her latest post, Kris said that this was “a cleansed version of why [I] ended my relationship with Marc.”
The actress and host said that long-distance relationships are difficult in itself.
“BUT [I] saw he has many dreams left to fulfill and many obligations to the people who gave him their vote,” she said. “Sadly, [I'm] in the battle of my life precisely because [I'm] doing all [I] can to save my life because my [two] sons still need me. I'm realistic enough that Marc has a life beyond trying to help take care of me.”
“I apologize for seeming selfish but why will [I] add stress in my life when [I] see his posts enjoying himself when [I] am suffering 8,000 miles away?” she added.
Kris said that had they stayed together, their ending would still be the same.
“[Tao] rin ako na mapipikon at magtatampo dahil mararamdaman kong, hindi ba [niya] naisip ang hirap na pinagdadaanan ko?” she said.
Kris added that they both deserve to live with peaceful hearts. She also said that she felt Mark is not ready for a serious relationship, especially given her health conditions.
“Kaya minabuti ko nang sa kin nang manggaling kasi nakita at naramdaman kong hindi [siya] handa sa responsibilidad ng seryosong relasyon kasama ang isang babae na tinatanggap ang realidad na yung buhay [niya] ngayon ay pinahiram na oras lamang ng Diyos.”
“I’m keeping my word that he will never read nor hear me saying anything negative about him because what for?” she added. “We're not enemies, we just weren't meant for each other.”
Kris also thanked Mark for staying in the US until Bimby was a day away from finishing his medicine.
In the comments section, Mark said, “Love, love, love you-all” with yellow hearts.
Kris and Mark revealed their relationship early this year. The actress and host said that she found both love and friendship in Mark.
The pair celebrated Kris’ birthday, Valentine’s Day, and Easter Sunday together.
Kris, as well as her sons Josh and Bimby, are currently in the US for her treatments.
