Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz on how to get over pain of partner's cheating

Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz are making their first big screen appearance together for "The Cheating Game," a film that involves characters trying to get over the pain of getting cheated on by their partners.

But in real life, how do the Kapuso stars deal with such a tragic experience?

"Parang lahat naman tayo nakaka-experience ng ganitong mga sitwasyon," Julie Anne said in a media conference. "I mean, not just in relationships but in general, in life, siguro. Iba-iba talaga tayo ng coping mechanisms eh."

"For me, it's definitely a non-nego, paano ako maka-move on. Ako kasi sobrang bigat kasi ng reason, 'yung cheating, for me. Kaya, ano sya, mabilis ako maka-move on," she continued.

Julie Anne then advised to surround yourself with people who support you.

"Kasi importante na may support system ka palagi," she said. "Always be with your friends, your loved ones, your family. Sila 'yung talagang dadamay sayo sa struggles na hinaharap mo."

She also reminded to learn to forgive, not just those who cheated on you, but also yourself.

Meanwhile, Rayver talked about how such an experience gives a valuable lesson in life.

"Siguro kasi, mas OK na minsan, 'yun kasi yung mga paraan para binibigyan ka ng lesson in life. Dun ka matututo eh, sa experience eh," the actor said.

"I mean para sa mga future relationships, or sa mga future na talagang may pagsubok na ganyan, medyo aware ka na and alam mo na how to handle," Rayver added. "S'yempre lahat naman tayo nabubulag tayo 'pag nagmahal tayo dahil nga grabe tayo magmahal eh."

He then added, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

Produced by GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures, "The Cheating Game" will be shown in theaters on July 26.

Julie Anne and Rayver are joined by Martin del Rosario, Paolo Contis, Winwyn Marquez, Thea Tolentino, Yayo Aguila, Candy Pangilinan, Jose Sarasola, Phi Palmos, and many more.

It is directed and written by Rod Marmol, with original story by Shao Masula.
