Alden Richards happy to find a mom in Sharon Cuneta
Alden Richards is overjoyed to have found a mother in Sharon Cuneta.
In a report on PEP.ph, the Asia's Multimedia Star opened up on his close relationship with the Megastar.
Alden and Sharon are doing a film together titled "A Mother and Son's Story." The veteran actress quickly warmed up to Alden, proclaiming him as her son on social media.
"Sobra pong bilis ng mga pangyayari at kulang na lang po ata birth certificate na parang whole-packed family na po kami ni Ms. Sharon," the Sparkle actor said.
"Gusto po niyang tawag ko sa kanya 'Mama.' Kasi kapag tinawag ko po siyang Ms. Sharon, sinasabi po niya na 'Teacher mo ba ako?'"
Alden lost his own mother, Rosario Faulkerson, to pneumonia in 2008.
Sharon previously called Alden her "new movie son," but she later said that he is truly like her own boy and that her kids have gained a "kuya."
She also said it was not very difficult to call up emotions during their scenes a mom and son.
"A Mother's Story" is one of the first four entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this year.
Directed by Nuel Naval and produced by Cineko Productions, the film also stars Miles Ocampo, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Tonton Gutierrez.
Meanwhile, Alden will also be hosting the upcoming talent competition "Battle of the Judges," which will premiere on July 15, Saturday, at 7:15 p.m. after "Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy Ang Kuwento."
