Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo's frozen embryo is ready if they want to have a 2nd child
Jennylyn Mercado is already 36 years old, but she and Dennis Trillo can still give Baby Dylan a younger sibling should they wish to have another child.
The couple still has the frozen embryo from their initial surrogacy plan back in 2021, but the Ultimate Star unexpectedly fell pregnant through natural means.
In Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, Jennylyn said the embryo is still OK and can be implanted if they decide to have a second child together.
"Puwede pa po 'yun. Naka-freeze lang 'yung embryo," she said. "Anytime na gusto naming magka-baby ulit puwedeng ako na. Puwedeng surrogate uli. Depende kung kakayanin ko pa."
Jennylyn and Dennis first talked about their surrogacy plan in an interview with MEGA magazine.
They shared that they went to the United States that time not only to get vaccinated, but also to harvest an embryo and find a surrogate.
With the help of a fertility specialist, Jennylyn said they were able to harvest five eggs, but only one was in excellent condition.
Jennylyn and Dennis tied the knot in 2021, shortly after announcing they were engaged and expecting their first child together.
They welcomed Baby Dylan in May 2022. The couple has older sons from previous relationships: Jazz is Jen's child with Patrick Garcia, while Calix is Dennis's son with Carlene Aguilar.
