Jessa Zaragoza, Dingdong Avanzado reveal secret to their 22 happy years of marriage

Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado have been married for 22 years, but the couple is still madly in love.

On Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Jessa and Dingdong revealed their secret on how they manage to have a happy marriage even after all these years.

According to the “Bakit Pa?” singer, the secret to a happy marriage is not love alone, but also has something to do with liking your partner.

“Its very important talaga na hindi mo lang siya mahal, dapat you like him din,” Jessa said.

“Ako, I really like [my husband],” she added.

Meanwhile, for Dingdong, shaking things up is a must to keep an exciting relationship.

“Dapat hindi predictable ‘yung araw niyo, kasi pag nagiging monotonous na, thats when boredom comes in,” the “Basta’t Kasama Kita” hitmaker said.

“Minsan, you need to be able to change things up a bit,” he added.

In their 22 years of marriage, Jessa said she’s still learning new things about her husband every day.

“Kahit pala gaano na kayo ka tagal na mag asawa, marami pa rin kayo madi-discover sa isa’t-isa,” she said.

"Marami ka pa rin palang matututunan sa kaniya na akala mo alam na alam mo na pero hindi pa pala lahat,” she added.

Dingdong, on the other hand, agreed with Jessa’s sentiments.

“'Di ba si Jessa, sexy 'di ba, the aura that she exudes, pero sa bahay sobrang kalog niya, ‘yung mga antics niya, expressions niya,” he said.

Jessa and Dingdong tied the knot in 2001. They have a daughter named Jayda.
