Camille and John Prats emotional as parents renew vows on 40th anniversary

Camille and John Prats were the happiest as they surprised their parents with a renewal of vows ceremony in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary.

According to a post by Camille on Instagram, the special event was held in Savoy Hotel, Boracay. In the sunny beach weather, an aisle was set with floral decorations, and all the guests were dressed in white. Camille and John’s grandmothers walked their parents down the aisle.

The Kapuso actress and host turned emotional in her post.

“What a blessing to have witnessed this[—]my parents getting married all over again with the family they have built together[,] will forever be grateful for this moment,” Camille said.

John likewise expressed love for his parents, calling them an inspiration.

“Kayo ang tunay na inspiration, sa hirap at ginhawa ay magkasama[.] Salamat sa pagmahal nyo sa amin. Sana ay napasaya namin kayo sa surpresa na renewal of vows nyo!!! We love you!” the actor and director said.

It's been a special few weeks for Camille, who turned 38 earlier this June. She received heartwarming birthday messages from John and her husband, VJ Yambao.

Recently, she posted photos from their family trip to Boracay, where she wore matching swimsuits with her daughter Nala. Nala is one of two kids she has with VJ, along with Nolan. She also has a son with ex-husband Anthony Linsangan, who passed away in 2011 due to nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Their son, Nathan, is 15.

The couple also co-parent Ice, VJ’s teenage son from a previous relationship.
