How Drew Arellano makes it up to his kids after going on ‘Biyahe ni Drew’ shoots

Drew Arellano is constantly on the go, delivering new travel ideas and location intel to viewers for his weekly travel show “Biyahe ni Drew."

As such, the Kapuso host is often away from home — and his family.

In a recent media discussion, Drew shared how he makes it up to his children after being away to shoot episodes.

“For me, it’s the quality of time that you’re with them,” he said.

“Sometimes I catch myself, yeah, you’re with them physically but you’re not actually, you know, with them, mentally and emotionally.”

Drew emphasized being present with his kids is the most important thing.

“So I think yung bawi d’yan would be, you know, hiding your phone, keeping it somewhere else so that ‘di mo iche-check yung phone mo and you’re just fully engaged,” he said.

Drew added, “You know, just playing with them, talking to them and yeah, just being with them for a good length and period.”

Drew has been married to Iya Villania since 2014.

They are parents to four children: Primo, Leon, Alana, and Astro.

They recently teased fans about having baby no. 5.

“Biyahe ni Drew” is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

To mark the special occasion, the show will have a two-part anniversary special airing on July 2 and 9 at 8:15 p.m. on GTV. — LA, GMA Integrated News
