Rita Daniela confirms she had feelings for Ken Chan

Rita Daniela confirmed that she and her on-screen partner Ken Chan had feelings for each other in the past.

On Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the singer-actress said that she was among those who fell in love with their best friends.

"'Yung nangyari sa 'min ni Ken, it's an almost love story," Rita said. "Kasi 'yung almost, 'yun 'yung masakit, so close yet so far."

According to RIta, she was in denial at first that she could fall in love with her on-screen partner because, for her, it was all just for work.

"Sobrang nagulat ako dun sa konsepto na pag magkasama kayo araw-araw, nade-develop pala talaga," she said.

The actress said they stopped talking for a long time, but she reassured that things are all better now.

"I had to give time for myself because 'yung nangyari sa 'min ni Ken, I just didn't lose a friend. I lost a best friend and a family in one," she said.

"That [was] very painful for me, pero naging OK naman kami," she added.

Tito Boy then asked Rita how she would introduce "Tito Ken" to her son Uno.

"Si Tito Ken, best friend siya ni nanay, at isa ako doon sa mga nahulog sa best friend," she said. "Sana anak kung isang araw mangyari sa 'yo 'to, sana nandun si nanay para suportahan ka."

Last February, Ken also guested in "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" where he admitted that he hurt Rita.

Ken and Rita starred on several GMA shows together, such as "My Special Tatay," "One of the Baes," and "Ang Dalawang Ikaw." They also worked together in "All-Out Sundays" and as journey hosts in "The Clash."
