Karel Marquez on motherhood: 'We are strong because of our children'
Karel Marquez reflected on motherhood after giving birth to her fourth baby.
On Instagram on Sunday, she posted a selfie while breastfeeding her newborn baby along with a lengthy caption of motherhood realizations.
“This has been my 'madaling araw' situation,” Karel began.
"As long as baby Kaden is okay and I am trying my very best to give him the best, that's where you'll find me," she added.
Karel said her husband caught her breaking down recently because their baby had difficulty latching. But when he finally did, Karel burst into tears.
"The rest of the world can wait as I take time to savor [newbornhood] before needing to go back to [face-to-face] work," she said.
"For now, I have been working at home and appreciating the quality time with my family and kids," she added.
In the latter part of her post, Karel advised other moms to take it "one day at a time."
"We are strong because of our children," she concluded.
Last week, Karel gave birth to baby no. 4 with Sean Fariñas.
Karel suffered a miscarriage in 2017, five to six weeks into pregnancy. She announced they were again expecting the following year and gave birth to a healthy baby boy in 2019. They named their rainbow baby Kobe. —Hermes Joy Tunac/KG, GMA Integrated News
