Paolo Contis reacts to LJ Reyes's engagement: 'She deserves to be happy'

Paolo Contis is happy to hear that his ex-partner, LJ Reyes, has recently become engaged.

The Sparkle actress made the announcement on Instagram, sharing photos of the moment her non-showbiz boyfriend, Philip Evangelista, popped the question.

In Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, Paolo sent his reaction to the news via text message.

"Of course I'm very happy for her. She deserves to be happy," the actor said.

Paolo and LJ have a daughter together named Summer, but the couple separated in 2021.

The actor admitted that there was a third party in their relationship, but denied the involvement of his "A Faraway Land" co-star Yen Santos.

Paolo confirmed his relationship with Yen earlier this year.

Shortly after his split with LJ, the actress migrated to New York with Summer and Aki, her son with ex-boyfriend Paulo Avelino.
