Jennylyn Mercado adjusting to being away from Dylan as she returns to 'Love. Die. Repeat' taping

Jennylyn Mercado is finally making her return to television with "Love. Die. Repeat."

According to Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, the Ultimate Star is resuming taping for the series, which was postponed in 2021 when Jennylyn discovered that she was pregnant.

The Ultimate Star admitted that being away from her daughter, one-year-old Baby Dylan, is going to take some getting used to.

"Gradually, I'm working on that. Kasi ngayon 'pag meron akong mga free days medyo umaalis-alis ako. Mag-ma-mall ako tapos ita-try ko na hindi muna magpapakita, dun muna siya sa room niya," Jennylyn said.

"Para medyo masanay na siya na hindi ako masyadong nakikita, hindi ako masyadong nandyan. Kasi ngayon medyo kailangan niya ako na nandun sa tabi niya so malaki itong adjustment para sa akin," she added.

The Kapuso actress, whose last series was "Descendants of the Sun," confessed that she is nervous about returning to acting as she spent the next two years prioritizing her family.

"Nag-focus sa pagiging mommy kay Dylan, nag-focus sa pagiging wife," said the actress, who married Dennis Trillo in 2021 shortly after announcing they were engaged and expecting their first child together.

"I'm sure nandyan 'yung co-artists ko, nandyan ang production, nandyan sina Direk para tulungan ding ako i-motivate 'yung sarili ko na kaya mo 'yan," she added.

Despite the delay, Jennylyn's co-star Xian Lim sees positive things about having a longer preparation for "Love. Die. Repeat."

"Ang daming limitations and ang daming restrictions when we were first doing it," said the actor, who recently wrapped up his series "Hearts on Ice."

"I think 'yung material na meron kami is meant for us to be in a lot places, hindi lang sa isang location or parang limitado dun sa restrictions ng COVID-19 during that time."
