Valerie Concepcion reveals heartbreak of finding out daughter once looked for her father
Valerie Concepcion was in tears as she admitted the pain and the heartbreak when she found out that her 18-year-old daughter Heather Fiona once looked for her father.
"Tina-try ko so hard to a mom and dad to her," Valerie said on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday.
"It pained me nung hinanap niya kasi feeling ko, hindi ako enough. Hindi ko nabigay yung lahat para hanapin pa niya tatay niya."
Of course now she understands, the "Seed of Love" actress said. "It doesn't make her love me less just because she looked for her father. She just really wants to know where she came from, her roots, and her story. Now I understand," Valerie said.
According to the Kapuso actress, she did try looking for the father of her daughter. "We tried. I tried telling him, 'our daughter is ready to meet you. She told me she's ready' but I didn't get a response, sadly."
Valerie was answering a question about apologizing to her daughter and among the things she wanted to say sorry for would be that. "Wala kasi akong control duon," she said.
While Valerie would often tell her daughter to not be mad at her father for what happened, she understands that "hindi mawawala sa bata na nasaktan siya at na-disappoint siya."
The 35-year-old Valerie gave birth to Heather 18 years ago.
