Slater Young draws flak after saying it's normal for committed men to 'fantasize' about other women

Slater Young drew flak online after saying it's okay for men in committed relationships to fantasize about other women.

In a now-deleted podcast episode of Skypodcast, a joint podcast channel of Slater and his wife Kryz Uy, the couple gave advice to a letter sender who is frustrated about her boyfriend fantasizing about other women.

"My boyfriend is fantasizing about other women, is that bad or am I crazy?" the letter sender asked the celebrity couple.

"After all the trust issues about him fantasizing other women, sometimes up to this day, I still get mad thinking I'm never gonna be good enough for him," the letter sender added.

The podcaster couple then gave their two cents on the issue, where Slater said, "the guy is being absolutely honest."

Slater elaborated his remark by saying men's conversations about other women are "normal."

"'Yung mga groups na nagse-send ng mga photos of girls and like fantasizing over it, it's normal," he said.

"S'yempre ikaw, as part of that group, sakyan mo lang. Wala naman, hindi mo naman gusto talaga," he added.

The couple also advised the sender to "stop making [her worries] a big issue" if her boyfriend hasn't done anything wrong. In other words, if her boyfriend didn't directly cheat on her with other women.

"I think you should use that time and energy instead to maybe, not the right word to say, but make yourself more attractive in that sense. Use that time and effort for yourself," Kryz advised.

Netizens reacted on the couple's remarks, with some accusing Slater of enabling misogyny. Some also criticized Kryz for condoning her husband's statements.

Others said the podcast episode was "triggering" and called Slater a "red flag."

Slater and Kryz tied the knot in 2019. They have two sons, Scott and Sevi.
