Heart Evangelista shares what she's learned from recent rough patch with husband Chiz Escudero
Boy Abunda was respectful enough not to ask his Friday guest Heart Evangelista about what so-called rough patch she recently went through in her marriage with Senator Chiz Escudero.
But when the King of Talk asked Heart what she learned from it, the Kapuso Style Icon happily obliged.
"It's not just marriage but friendships as well and people you work with. But everybody goes through problems and I felt that as individuals, even if you're married or committed to someone or a friend, you really have to go through certain things and deal with them alone and really ponder about what you want in life," Heart began.
"The nice thing about being in a marriage with chiz, is he's always respected the many seasons in my life that I'm going through," she continued.
For Heart, others shouldn't expect her to "fast-forward the chapters of my life just so I can understand where they're at."
She pointed to their age gap and the fact that she is a late bloomer. "There are some things I just discovered and that's why it works — kasi he's so supportive. And I really appreciate him because of that. His love is unconditional and that's why we're OK," Heart said.
In September last year, many speculated about the couple splitting up when Heart admitted in a vlog post that she was "going through a lot of personal stuff." It didn't help that she burst into tears mid-shoot in Paris.
By the New Year, things have simmered down with Heart and Chiz welcoming 2023 together.
At the moment, Heart said, "everything is in place." — LA, GMA Integrated News
