Kara David on LDR with husband LM Cancio: 'Secure ako sa relationship namin'

Kara David said she feels secure in her long-distance relationship with her husband, LM Cancio, despite the fact that he works as a seaman for half the year.

In the anniversary special of "Updated With Nelson Canlas," the veteran broadcast journalist said her husband is an exception to the saying "sea-manloloko."

"Alam ko na exception to the rule 'yung asawa ko, kasi unang-una secure ako sa relationship namin," Kara said. "Alam ko na hindi siya gagawa ng anything na ikakaselos ko."

Kara also pointed out two more reasons why she feels secure with her relationship with LM.

"Secure ako sa sarili kong maganda ako. Para sa mata ng asawa ko alam ko, ako pinakamaganda," she said.

"At pangatlo, para lang sure, pumunta ako sa barko, kinaibigan ko lahat ng seaman doon para pag may ginawang kalokohan yung asawa ko, sasabihin!" she added.

Kara then gave a piece of advice to those who would embark on a long-distance relationship.

"You have to be secure in the relationship. You have to be secure in the love of your husband, and you have to be secure in your capabilities as a person," she said.

Kara and LM tied the knot in 2018.
