Epy Quizon compares himself to late father Dolphy Quizon: ‘My father was the better person, better actor’
Epy Quizon recalled how good of a person and actor his late father, Dolphy Quizon, was on Thursday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
In the interview segment, the Kapuso actor said he still thinks his father was above him in being both an actor and a person.
“My father was the better person, for sure. [In terms of being a] better actor, hands down, siya [talaga],” Epy said.
According to Epy, if there was one trait he got from Dolphy, it’s his ability to adapt to any environment and be friendly with all sorts of people.
“We know the lingo of the streets. Ibato mo ko sa Tondo, kahit saan, alam ko makisama sa mga tao,” he said.
“Alam ko ‘yung [language] ng kalsada, and my father knew that,” he added.
Previously, Epy shared he almost shaved off his eyebrows to better portray his character Zuhl in “Voltes V: Legacy.”
Last month, “Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience” was shown in cinemas and featured a two-hour material from the first three weeks of the ground-breaking action-packed live adaptation.
“Voltes V: Legacy” will premiere on May 8 at GMA Telebabad. — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA Integrated News
