Nelson Canlas on his non-showbiz partner: 'Ang me time namin magkasama kami for the last 9 years'

You probably know Nelson Canlas as one of the most prominent entertainment journalists interviewing famous show business personalities. But for the first time, the Kapuso broadcaster sat down on the other side of the fence and opened up about his non-showbiz partner in an episode of "#JustIn" by Paolo Contis.

In the interview, Nelson said he has always been proud of his partner Miggy.

"He's a restaurateur. His family owns the only Minadanaoan restaurant in Luzon, Palm Grill in Tomas Morato," Nelson said.

According to Nelson, Miggy worked his way up to establish Palm Grill to what it is today. But aside from his career, the Kapuso host said he's most proud of his positive attitude and outlook in life.

"I've always said na si [Aubrey Carampel] 'yung best friend ko talaga sa buhay ko. Kapag nakita mo nga 'yung passport ko, siya yung nasa 'in case of emergency'," Nelson said.

"Noong naging kami ni Miggy, dalawa na 'yung best friend ko talaga," he added.

Nelson said he's been with Miggy for nine years, but they've already been married for five years. They tied the knot in Wisconsin, USA.

Having been together for nine years, Nelson and Miggy have established a routine that works for them, despite having different careers.

"Hindi na kami nagdadalawang isip na 'pag tapos siya sa work, 'pag tapos na ako sa work, ang me time namin magkasama kami for the last nine years," he said.
