Kris Bernal reveals low-lying placenta, plans on undergoing Chinese postpartum recovery
Mom-to-be Kris Bernal wants to know how all you pregnant women are doing out there.
On Instagram Stories, she posted a Q&A box and wrote, "Musta mga buntis? Susuka pero hindi susuko."
While reassuring pregnant women who wrote in, Kris also revealed that she has a low-lying placenta.
According to the National Health System in the UK, a low-lying placenta is when the placenta stays low in your womb, near to or covering your cervix. It may block the baby's way out during childbirth.
"Possible pa daw umikot kaya kapit lang," Kris wrote.
Another netizen asked if Kris experiences discoloration and stretch marks.
Kris replied, "Yes, of course, hindi kayo nag-iisa! I'm just like any other pregnant women out there!!"
The actress also shared that she will go through po ge lai or Chinese postpartum recovery.
This involves various practices for postpartum healing after pregnancy. It may include things like not showering, as well as eating nutritious po ge lai food. Kris did not specify which practices she will do.
Another netizen asked about breakouts. Kris said that she thankfully didn't experience that but sent some encouraging words.
"It's just temporary! You're doing an incredible thing and I'm proud of you for doing your best, day in and day out!" Kris wrote in part.
In a separate post, Kris added, "I am so grateful and happy but never felt so tired, emotional, uncomfortable, and scared. Sending love, prayers, and positive vibes to all expectant moms out there!"
Earlier, she shared that she was also embracing her growing body and shared a photo of herself in a bikini.
Kris and husband Perry Choi are expecting a baby girl, which they reveal through a gender reveal party with fighting dinosaurs.
The couple, who tied the knot in September 2021, announced that they were expecting a baby last March.
